As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Submission Guidelines

 

JoTHH accepts research papers, conceptual or methodological papers, and case study papers in Bahasa Indonesia or in English. Authors are to adhere to JoTHH submission guidelines before manuscript submission. The first page of the manuscript contains the manuscript title, authors’ full name, and affiliations, abstract, and keywords. Please use the new page to start the main text of the manuscript. 

 

Abstract

Abstract consists of 150-200 words in English or Indonesian, providing a summary of the introduction, purpose of the article, methodology, result and discussion, and conclusion. The abstract is followed by keywords consisting of 5-7 words to facilitate the preparation of the article index. The abstract is written in Times New Roman font, single-spaced, and font size 12. 

 

Main Text

The manuscript’s length should be between 7000 – 9000 words (including abstracts, tables, and references). It is written with Times New Roman font type, 12 pts, and single-spaced. For sub-title heading, use Times New Roman 12pts, in bold. The initial writing of the sub-title paragraph is indented 0.25 inches using the first-line indent.  For the Secondary Heading, please use Times New Roman 12 pts, bold italic. (Please refer to the article template.)   

For a research paper, it is composed according to the following sections and sequence: 

  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Implications of the Study
  • References 

 

Tables and Figures

Tables are presented without vertical lines and are added with a source of the year of research data processing. Title of tables is placed on top, center-aligned, in Times New Roman 12 pts, bold. Figures can be images or graphs. The title for figures is placed below, center-aligned, in Times New Roman 12 pts, bold. Both tables and figures’ texts are in Times New Roman 10 pts. Tables and figures are numbered in the order in which they are presented (Table 1, etc.)

 

Implications of the Study

Authors are required to provide a paragraph to state the implications of the study explicating the research implications (either theoretical, practical, or managerial). Write this paragraph at the end of the manuscript before the References section.

 

References

JoTHH recommends APA (American Psychological Association) sixth reference format. For the reference list, use a 0.25-inch hanging indent, font Times New Roman 12 pts.

Submission

All authors should register to JotHH website at http://ejournal.asaindo.ac.id/index.php/horizon/user/register prior to submission. All manuscripts are to be submitted online. Upon submission, the editors will review the manuscripts to determine their suitability to HORIZON. The accepted for review manuscripts will be sent for a double-blind review process. The editors will decide the status of the manuscript based on the reviewers’ consistent recommendations. JoTHH does not charge any processing or publication fee.

 

Authors are responsible to prepare manuscripts which are not plagiarism work and written clearly in an acceptable, scholarly Bahasa Indonesia or English. Authors should ensure the manuscripts are free from spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors. Neither the editors nor the publishers are responsible for this matter. Accuracy and consistency in text-citations, abbreviations, and references is a must. 

 

Manuscripts submitted to JoTHH must be original work, have not been published elsewhere, and not under publication consideration in other journals. All accepted manuscripts become the legal copyright of JoTHH unless otherwise agreed. However, authors are permitted to upload their manuscripts to their personal or academic digital platforms or share them with other scholars for non-commercial purposes.
